My 84 has a 4.9L the poor mans diesel in it run strong as has no real mecanical problems that i now of i stored it for tree months and the person who was left to crank it over every few days or weeks didn't.. so i tossed in a new battery. the silinoid kicked that was it ran down the wires for shorts nothing although the fuse block looks a little iffy how would i change that out. but my electronics still light up so i don't think that's it of course it wouldn't be the first time that i was wrong. So back to basics i banged on the starter like any monkey would do know it clicks.. so i check how much power is in the bat full of charge over 13 volts.. Know what should i try I'm going to toss in a heavy duty sillinoid in the morning. is their any thing else i should try????

I wouldn't mess with the fuse block right now. They are pretty solid and unless you see evidence of melted or burned areas it is not likely to be bad. Did you check for 12V at the starter wen someone was holding the key in start? Check the battery to engine ground connections as well as the condition of the ground cable especially at the connectors. Remove the connections, clean he contact area and re-hook them up.

Good luck,

:)>-
