Well im still new to this and working on rigs myself as it is but here we go. I was removing the water pump and the wonderful truck gave me the issue of a snapped bolt. Go figure right?? Im sure your all surprised. Well since that one snapped i dont know how long it is and I bought a stud kit from napa and it had 2 studs and 1 bolt which the bolt worked fine but the studs were the issue. One was a rather short one and i couldn't get it to grip in any of the holes i had remaining cause i thought that was the one i snapped. i did it get out by the way. Im just trying to figure out if the kits from Napa or any other auto shops would the correct ones or not cause i am completely lost right now. Thanks for any help you guys give.

That's good..! Clean out any female threads in the block. Use any bolts you may have to ***** in & match the threads. Hardware & auto parts stores should have single studs.

Length can be determined by measuring the depth of the hole, add for the thickness of the waterpump, & any brackets that go on top. Add 1/2" for the nut & lockwasher.

At the boat shop, we used a goo to coat any bolt threads that were exposed to, or could be exposed to water to prevent rust/snapping.

Auto parts may have a waterproof product like this.

As a rule, I never ***** anything into waterjackets on an eng. block W/O sealing the threads. >:D< <'>
