Thanks guys for the info. I live in the denver area and started calling around pricing out kits from different dealers. It looks like the PL price is the best deal I can find, but a dealer out here said they will match or beat the price for me if I come in so thanks for the help with that.
yeah. Never pay full retail. Someone will always beat their competitor's price.

The Pro Comp ES9000 shock is a good compromise for 50/50 street/light duty offroad driving. THe only problems I had with those is a bit of 'nose-dive' at a stop sign, and overheating or fade after driving down a long, washboard gravel road after a while. Any time the shock body is hot to the touch, it will fade or quit working. THe RS9000X is the only shock that does not have a wire holding it closed when you buy one, as it resists movement in either direction rather than relying mostly on compression. I have yet to experience fade, overheating or breakage with the Rancho shocks or my Skyjacker units. I have broken every thing else, including Monroe's & Bilstein's.
I've got the ES3000s, and they work for me. I'm pretty much stock, but love going along dirt roads and washboards. Never had a problem yet. They sound like the RS9000s you're talking about. No wire holding them shut. They resist both ways. I've felt them a few times after riding around, and they've been cool so far.

and you can't beat the price!

I'm probably gonna have to throw on some fender flares to compensate for the wide wheels. Anyone got any suggestions.

I've never been a huge fan of fender flares since my days back east dealing with winter salt seems like they just gave rust that extra incentive to GO WILD.

If your looking to go real trick & it sounds like your heading that direction check out the guys at Auto Fab, www.autofab.com they make a nice set of front & rear fenders. I know a couple guys that have them the rigs look cool & they seem to hold up pretty well & fender/tire clearance wont ever be a problem. Not an easy project or inexpensive but if turning heads & function is what you want check them out.

You'll pay a bit more for the Rancho 9000 but wont be disappointed, I ran them on 3 different trucks that I beat unmercifly through the desert, the last truck had 150000 on the shocks & other than having to replace the buching twice they were still good to go.

Alright fellas, I got it all straighted out. The Bronco is all geared up and ready to start putting the pieces together. This is what I decided to run with.

The Skyjacker Class II 6" Suspension Lift

Rancho RS9000 Shock x 6

Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy 6001 Chrome Wheel (17x9) x 5

BFG T/A KO 315x70x17 Tire x 5

I ended up getting everything for wholesale through 4 Wheel Parts. They were the cheapest dealer and installer in the state. But my nice little hookup saved me nearly $1000 in parts and labor. Thanks for all your helpful insite for my project, It should look and run sick when its all finished. I'll make sure I get some before and after pictures posted after I get it back.

I also have a question about the coils that come with the SJ kit. I hear they are nice and soft, which offer an awesome ride, but I also heard that they have the tendency to fail quite quickly compared to the Pro Comp coils. I've decided to keep with the SJ coils assuming if I just keep a watchful eye on the coils to make sure they stay aligned and don't drop. I was just wondering if any of you that have run the Class II kit have had any problems with this and what I can do keep it in good shape?

Carcass, good luck with the lift kit & tires, and enjoy the new ride!!! As for the SKyJ coils, they will outlast the cheaper ProComp's by years.

Hey I got everything taken care of with the suspension and what not. I was ready for this but have not taken into consideration of the added weight to the car, and I notice a bogged down performance. Are there any quick fixes that could help boost my performance back to normal. I do have the 5.8L 351 w/ Dual exhaust and a K&N Filter Charger and Intake. I was thinking running new headers and possibly throwing in a chip of somesort to help boost the performance.

Any suggestions on what I could do or brands that I could look at?

Here are a few pictures of the end results of all the work I did this summer. Thanks for all of your input on my project! Again I went with the Skyjacker Class II lift with Rancho RS9000 Shocks, BFG T/A KO 315x70x17 on Pro Comp Extreem Alloy 6001 wheels. I also have a K/N intake and filter charger, custom dual exhaust, custom stereo system with two JL Audio w7 subs with 2000 watts running on MTX amps. Custom mounted PIAA P-3000 Tri-beam spot/fog lamps, billet grille, custom euro headlights, side markers, and turn signals. I think this is a very different and exciting Bronco. It has the additions to allow it to tear up the street as well as the backcountry. Let me know what you think!
