HELP rear window problem

i have an 89 bronco, on my way home from work i put the rear window down and now it won't come back up, how can i get it to come back up, any input would be appreciated

Make sure the tailgate is completely and firmly shut. There's a safety switch on the driver's-side tailgate latch that won't let the window roll up with the tg open. If you hear no sound from the motor at all, then you have some troubleshooting to do. There's plenty of posts if you search, as well as a link in the Tech Articles forum to "MiesK5 HomePage". i figured it out, one of the wires that goes to the motor broke, had to get it up by hooki a battery charger to the wires, and then reconnected the broken wire, IT WORKS AGAIN!!!!!!

Congrats!

Look at where the harness enters the gate via driver's side brake light housing for chaffing; also on pass sde brake light - take off housing and look for same prob where brake/turn lighting wiring chaffs on 1/4 panel edge.
