i got a 91 silver aniversary edition and i got a bunch of work to do on it but right now im stuck with three main issues

1. the rear window is stuck up and i dont know what it could be. i have power from the switch but no power ending at the motor and i cant get the glass down to allow the tailgate to fall. does anyone know if there are any fuse links between the two points and if there are any relays.

2. headlights are not operational. i have power to the rear lights and turn signals and marker lights etc. so i know the switch is working yet there is no power at the ligtbulb once again are there any relays or fuse links.

3.and last thing where is the best place to find parts both original and aftermarket for a 91 (spare tire rack, lift kits etc)

thanks guys im trying to get the weekend warrior fixed up and ready to play before the girlfriend makes me get rid of her.

tell the girlfriend to chill!! If those are your biggest problems then you're doing good! haha. LMC is a pretty good place to find parts. Jeffs bronco grave yard is another good one. as for the lights and rear window i dont have much insight for ya. check grounds maybe? sounds like it wouldnt heart to pull apart all your electrical connections and spray them out with cleaner.

Electrical is a big pain in bronco's well every ford truck I've owned but there is the saftey switch before the window motor that won't allow the window to move if the gate isn"t shut i would check there. i know there is i posting on here that show the window diagram. as far as you headlights i would check the headlight switch i had a similar problem but it was my tailights not working and i disocvered i had one of the wires was backing out of the connector so when i connected it it looked good and worked till i hit a bump then the lights would go nuts. i would check your local junkyard for the tire rack , one thing about that is did your truck originally have one ? by the way mine started out at 3000 now I'm up to around 8-10000 and i don't even have a lift yet but i do have a new motor wheel bearings ball joints alt, starter completely new cooling system lol but i love my bronc. Good Luck

ok-----you have power to the switch-and NO POWER------COMING FROM---AT THE END OF THE SWITCH WIRE--CHECK YOUR WIRE--AND REPLACE IT WITH A COMPLETE WIRE THAT HAS NOT BE SPLASHED INTO ANOTHER----NOW YOU SHOULD HAVE POWER.-Now,un-hook the wire harness plug that goes into the back of the motor. If the wire starts getting hot--you are on the UP-SIDE POST--go to another post(I believe their is 3 post) and go try it---JUST TOUCH THE WIRE TO EACH SIDE AND LISTENED FOR A NOISE LIKE IT MAY BE MOVING----WHEN THE WINDOW MOVES-YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT POST.-Double check your wire--at all connections and make sure you have heavy enough wire---to handle the power-you do not need a fire-REMBER -ONLY TOUCH THE WIRE-TO THE POST TO SEE IF THE WINDOW MOVES-----IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU HAVE A BAD WIRE,CONNECTION--GROUND OR HOT SIDE--MAKE SURE THE CONNECTIONS ARE CLEAN .Good luck---you might want to go directl to the motor and buy pass the switch in the rear window--to see if your motor is good. If it works-the motor is good---then try the wire on the rear switch-it might be bad-but DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS FIRST---COULD SAVE YOU SOME MONEY.

The window was stuck on my '90 Bronco, I tryed digging around in the access panel with the tailgate closed, much to tight to work on in those conditions. Finally after messing around with it I unbolted the top, had a friend jump inside and lift the top a couple inches higher than the tailgate glass. Then put 2x4's under the canopy to block it in place and opened the tailgate. I had my friend unlatch it as I supported the glass, the he jumped out and we carefully lowered the tailgate, the glass flops around and needs to be supported. That allowed me easy access to the tailgate guts. I bypassed the safety switch and the window worked great.

My tailgate switch is kinda worn. So sometimes it acts up. Push on the upper left side of the tailgate and have someone try the switch. I have a special spot on a tree that I can back into when there's no one arond to push on the tailgate for me when I'm trying to put the window up. But it sounds like you have a switch problem.

kinda hard to do with it up i know but when you get it down also check the wires running from the gate to the rear corner of the 1/4. they get pinched from time to time.

Ive done the same thing getting the window down. You DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE YOUR HAND so be very very careful working in the tailgate, just as above make sure the glass is supported. The glass is heavy and the two saw looking gears and all the close metal parts will hurt you quick!
