Then unhook the emissions s**t. You Need fuel, spark and exhaust. Remove everything else.

Hay Harding..,

"....i dont want anything but straight motor"

Are you sure...? what do you intend to gain..? Is the system damaged..? Is the eng. runn'n poorly..? (I doubt you'll get any mileage improvement.)

Afterwards, you may be a while getting the proper tune back.

I would sugg. you go to lib. & check out a book or two & see what you're up against.

It's all free... its all good....... B) ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The other thing you have to think about is do you have to have an emission test for license plates every year? If you do & you pull that stuff off, you will fail every time. If you are in CA, you have to have all that stuff on there. If it came with it, you better have it or it won't pass. So, it depends on what state you live in and what your emission laws are.

But to answer your question, you can pull the evaporative cannister behind the driver seat & the one under the pass floor boards. Cap all the overflow lines on the tanks & cut that cat off (if it has one). That is all there is to it. The emission stuff wasn't much on EBs, more of "capturing the evaporated gas" than anything.

But still, check your "classic vehicle" laws & emission laws. Some states, like Colorado, don't make you get emissions testing done if the vehicle is 25 years or older & has collector tags on it.
