I have been snooping around here for a little while i gess its time to introduce my self.

I do not currently own a bronco but have in the past had to let it go becouls of a ugly divorce and a ***** of a ex-wife however i am currently saving up for a new one altho i am torn between geting a 78-79 or 80-96 i have had a 89 in the past it was dark purple with a new 302 EFI, ZF 5 sp tranny, and i had to rebuild the BW1356 x-case when i blew it up and cracked the case. no lift but i ran 33x9.50x15 BFG all terrains on it.

my current ride is a Yellow 76 F-150 short bed with a 390 cid with edelbrock top end np 435 trans and 205 x-case no lift but 33x12.50x15 sidwinder tires.

Any help on deciding what moddel bronco to go with would help and also are their any copanies that make a soft top for them all i can find is the tuno cover type and i need room for rear passangers. if not that is okay.

Welcome, sorry to hear your troubles but there is life after divorce. After mine I was left with nothing but a truck and a dog and sleeping on my parents couch, but that was a looooong time ago. Been married to wife number two nearly 10 years and things are going great.

Good luck with your search, I really like the 78-79 body styles the best (even though I own a '96) but they are getting really hard to find. Anyone who has one and has kept it nice will not likely be willing to part with it.

As for soft-tops, the subject has been beat to death here and on other Bronco forums. Right now, no one makes the "Safari" style like mine that lets you use the back seat. The company went out of business a year or two ago. A used one from eBay or maybe Craigslist is your only hope for the time being.
