Hi guys, I'm new to Broncos altogether, so any advice is WELCOME
I kinda always wanted an early Bronco and found a good deal. I'm from Des Moines, Ia. but just picked this up in Minneapolis for $2200. The rust isn't too bad, it needs some floor and interior wheel well work and the rocker panels and tail gate replaced but other than that it seems solid. I just drove it home from Minneapolis tonight and it died on me 30 miles from HOME! It basically just started sputtering and then cut out. I think the fuel filter is clogged as the gas tank apparently is rusted and (surprise!) has a hole near the top (found out about that at the first fill up 100 miles away, thanks seller!!!)
My upgrade budget is $2000 and my first three planned upgrades are:
The gas tank to a 23 gallon plastic unit.
Front Disc brake conversion, those drums are terrible!
3 speed floor shifter, not a fan of 3 on the tree!
