i recently put my truck in the shop to do rust repair after rebuilding the motor and trans. replaced front and rear floors and over wheel patches. decided to replace my heater core and clean out all duct work. my truck has a dealer installed ac so i had to remove the dash. painted all door frames and dash for re-install. somewhere in the mass disassembly of my bronco i have lost the upper plenum that goes on top of ac fan. if anyone knows where i can find one, let me know. dont want to install dash until ac unit is in place. hope to send some pics im not a very computer savy guy though.thanks

Thinking about pulling all the original equipment out of the 79 and installing an complete Restomod AC system. The ones I’ve been looking at in vintage mustangs are much more efficient

too pricy for me ive already spent too much on this bronco. plus iv already pressure tested the evaporator {ok} cleaned duct work and fan works good. should be fine. would really like to find the piece im missing. i sold some engines and parts i had in my way and think perhaps the part was accident put in one of the boxes. do you know anyone that has some dealer installed ac parts. i cant even find a picture of one to see what the part looks like. 78-79 bronco

Mine has already been disconnected years ago. Will have to replace everything anyway. It would be a good way for me to go. I will look in the shop for some connections. Will pm you some pictures of what I find

Both the 78 and the 79 were factory equipment. Pulled e everything from the 78 as that one now has a different purpose. The 79 is the one I’m thinking of installing this on. Left the brackets on it. Will pull the blower assembly and install it on the 78. Patch the hole. Then it will be a clean install of the new unit. The ones Richard installed on the mustang is a clean setup. Pretty efficient too

ok so you are missing the fresh air intake?
I would imagine it is a piece that attaches to the firewall someplace to pull air inside the cab?

Did these truck have recirculation?

If nothing else I can't imagine it would be too hard to make something.

Yo Pop,
For a YARD SEARCH on-line, I use;
Hollander Quality Replacement Parts | Find Used Auto Parts | Online Locator
A yard that uses Hollander Interchange can search other yards and have it shipped including some Canadian yards.
"...For over eighty years, Hollander has been making the best tool for fast, interchangeable part matches. The new Edition Hollander Interchange contains more interchangeable options than ever before.
The Hollander Interchange provides auto recyclers and auto collectors, rebuilders, and others with the easiest and most comprehensive solution for identifying interchangeable auto parts..." See their yard Directory @ Seller Directory | Used Auto Parts | Hollanderparts
Can select a certain part.
If a specific part isn't listed, search again for the next higher assembly, such as in this instance,

Search: 1979 >Ford > Bronco > Cooling And Heating > Ac Evaporator > 00335 Integral Ac

Take a look at:

Try and get the picture or area where the part goes and I,ll try and find one. I know where their is a 78 bronco . That might have what you need.
