Hey guys I have a weird problem. I have a '96 bronco, when I pull the headlight switch out all I get is parking lights. But if I push the rod in just a bit my headlights work. So I figured It was the headlight switch so I replaced with a used switch but I know that It works cuz It's in my '92 150 and the lights still don't work!!! All the wires look good I just can't figure It out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

But you said it a 92...it has a long wear pattern worked into the switch.

I know sounds like a bunch of c##p, but I have seen it before.

Swapping any used electrical parts is usually just a recipe for a headache.

Well I found the problem. When I would push the switch in a bit and the headlights would go on I was stealing power I think from the parking lights. But when off I had no power to the black/orange wire. So I traced the wire from the switch to the fuse box under the hood and right at the box the wire was bad. Fixed the wire and now I have lights!!
