I ordered a pair of shorty headers for my 1995 Bronco XLT. I have never done exhaust work before and I want to install the headers myself, shops cost way too much for installation. If there are any how to's or any other kinda help anyone could provide it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Soak the existing bolts with some sort of penetrating **** for a while. Probably overnight if you can. It's not a hard install but the bolts will deffinatly **** pretty bad. Might want to get new hardwear while you at it anyways. I would also undo the pipe from the manifold before manifold from engine.

Best stuff I have ever found. Soak the bolts real good and let it sit overnight. If you have some that are still fighting you soak them again. Just be easy taking out the old ones and use new ones to go back, the heat is **** on those bolts.

You should be able to do it yourself, but make sure you're ready to hook up the exhaust when they are on.

I just put shortys on my 95 first thing did you get the headers for a 95 Bronco because I found out after I tore everything apart that the ones I bought are for a Ford 302 and they did not fit to the Ypipe If you got the ones for the Bronco they should be a direct fit to your factory exaust plus thee only thing that gave me trouble was the passenger side because its really tight getting your hands into the back bolts Hope that helps Good Luck

Yeah they are for the bronco. Thank you for all your tips but I have several people telling me the gaskets always go bad and I will have excessive header leaks so I'm still unsure whether to install them or send them back.

I have headers on my 93 with a carb 351. No leaks. I have run headers on everything I have owned and sometimes you get leaks and sometmes you don't. I found that the copper exhaust header gaskets work the best. They expand and contract with the heat of the vehicle and seat really well. It's all in preference of what you want. -- Vince

Sometimes with cheap headers the ****** that connects to your head will be slightly warped and it won't seal correctly. In that case, if you cut between each exhaust tube on the header you can allow it to seal better.

This was true back in the muscle car days, now with todays technology they have come a long way. I have had the same headers on my 74 Comet with a 5.0 for over 10 years, no leaks. My Bronco had headers for the 3 years I drove it and never leaked. Now I sold them to a friend and he put them on his 94 F150 and they bolted right up with no problems.
