Just thought I'd post and say hello to everyone :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> New to the forums, but looking for a refresher in Bronco's :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I used to drive a '78 Bronco in high school, but not anymore. It went away when I bought a 2001 Ranger, which I traded for my 2000 F150. Between gas prices and the monthly payment on the truck, I've been considering selling the F150 and getting a Bronco. Save some money on payments and insurance, and still be able to accomplish the same when I need it - 4WD in the winter, towing 6,000lbs+ locally, and going out mudding once in a while :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

My toys are a '91 and '96 T-Bird's - the 91 is my baby and first car, and the 96 is the daily driver and next toy :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Looking forward to hanging around and becoming a pain in the butt around here :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Welcome to BroncoZone! > Good luck in your Bronco search. With gas over $3 a gallon in most places, I would imagine there are quite a few to be found right now.

I've done some local looking, but haven't found anything quite yet. I've been busy with work and have a vacation coming up soon. I'm not exactly a stranger to Bronco's though. I drove a '78 in High School :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I loved it - but just got to the point where it would have taken alot to keep it road worthy. I know where it is so if I fall into a bunch of money, I'll attempt to get it back and restore it :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I came across a 95-96 Bronco near Kansas City for reasonable money and miles, but since I'm not totally ready - I haven't made any plans to check it out when I'm down there in about 2 weeks.

And believe me.. I'm all talk :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> In reality, I'm not THAT bad haha

melon,

I don't know if you are still looking for an old bronco but the 78-79's go at a very fair price out here in phoenix.

plus little to no rust to deal with. youll have to change weather strip and rubber instead

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! I just picked up a 78 Bronco for $1800, but have been looking hard for 9-10 months. My advice, have agoal in mind of what you want to deal with as far as repairs, and then look for something on that level. I needed a trail-ready rig while my 84 is being built. The 78 has the 351M, NP435, NP205, Currie 9" w/ 4.88 gears and a spool, and 38" tires. I passed on a similar Bronco with a 460 for $3800, and was kicking myself for not buying that one for months.
