Gas Guage not working

I just picked up the Bronco this weekend and noticed that the gas guage floats all over the place...is there a common problem or easy fix for this? Thanks..

Please put info about your truck in your sig files so that we can be more specific when trying to help.

Goto MyControls... personal information... signature file

Year.. engine.. tire size... type of trans... stuff like that.

BTW... it is problably a bad sending unit it your tank, I'll locate additional info for you to try to trouble shoot
