Ive been looking around since I have to replace my main fuel tank. I figure ill have to replace my aux tank also. So, Ill be getting as large as I can. Also based on what came OUT of my main tank, I think Ill be replacing my entire fuel system. Im considering using braided fuel line from one end to the other. Im not a big fan of metal lines.
What Im wondering is this: Does anyone have a layout of the fuel system and lines?
My main tank has the filler spout and 3 other spouts that are all about the same size, small. 2 on top one down about midway on the front by a plug. Im assuming the plug is the level sending unit. I know one of the lines is feed, another is vent, but is the 3rd a return?
Also, the main/aux switch... I have 2? There is one on the floor under the driver seat that is very stiff to move. Im guessing this is the actual fuel valve. The other is on the dash and seems more electrical. Is this to switch between the tanks sending units so the gauge reads for that tank?
Is the only pump in the system the one at the engine or is there an electric pump somewhere?
When I disassembled my carb (Holley) there was a screen in the inlet. Is this the only fuel filter or is there one somewhere else?
I know, I know... lots of newbie questions. LOL!! Please forgive me as shyness at asking dumb questions was kinda beat out of me in tech school.
