I was wondering if anyone out there has put a fiberglass body on their Bronco before. I see in the pictures that the fiberglass body tub doesn't have the core or fender supports on it. These seem pretty necessary to me. Do you salvage the parts from the steel body and stick them on the fiberglass, or what? Seems like you would especially need the supports if you went with the one-piece front end. Anyone ever go with a fiberglass body tub and steel front end parts?

I searched these forums high and low for some insight into the fiberglass body tubs but was unable to find anything. How are they able to sell those fiberglass bodies if no one's putting them on? Or is everyone just being tight-lipped about it? Maybe I'll check Wikileaks....

Toms Br. Parts & I believe Wild Horses have pics of FG bodies in their catalogs... meaning already built rigs. One is a hyd. front, where grill & fenders, etc. lift up in one piece. But., like you mentioned.... no inner fenders, core support, etc.

Point being., if they know these folks well enough to print their pics...there should be some info. avail., one would think........

Sure would be nice to have mostly FG....especially up there where you are.

Do post any results of your search...that would be interesting.

I have done business with those vendors... as well as Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. I have spent gobs of money on my Bronco and it would be a shame to have everything rust out again. Terra Comp sells everything but the core support, full doors, and tailgate in fiberglass. If no one on here has any info about this, perhaps I'll be the first....

How's 'bout show'n some pics...? >:D< <'>

Ya..., this board has been slow since the economy went "south"..!

I'm sure there's some on here that have FG exp. with EB's but, they don't come on as often due to the above.

Here's hope'n you stay on with your progress.

I just got the engine rebuilt last summer but haven't taken any pics since I got stuck in the arctic over Christmas, when I was going to head home and put it together. It's a 351 that's been balanced, blueprinted, bored .040 over, heads milled, and exhaust ports opened up. Stock cam. I'm going with Ford fuel injection and have a Professional Products manifold to top it off. Should run "nice."

You're not going to be taking that out in the dirt RU...?

GOOD job....looks great.

You're gett'n quite a few hits on this post soooo, don't give up...someone may just chime-in with FG info./experience.

Body looks pretty good. Maybe some bracing to prevent tweeking. Looks like you made some flush rear flares.

Big alum. radiator (for that eng.) in the plans..?

Do keep us up-dated with your progress... :D/

Yeah, I have a reverse-flow water pump so I thought I would get an aluminum radiator with the proper connections and flow pattern. I am thinking to grab the accessory mounts off a 2000 or so Explorer and see if they will work on the engine. The body is now on the frame. Gobs of rust on the inner fenders and the core support body mount under the battery has rusted away. Rusty floorboards and rocker panels. The rear fenders were opened up by a previous owner and are also pretty rusty. I've been told the tailgate will probably rust out from the inside at some point. Don't rightly know what I will do with it when it's finished. I might show it for a year, then daily driver/informal offroading. Mostly snow and logging trails. Lots of room there for big tires.
