iam feeling like a clapping of metal, or something seems to be loose when ever i hit a small bump or *** hole, but i have looked and felt around and nothing seems loose at all? iam assuming the shocks are shot cause when i stop my bronco still bounces after i stop, but would bad shocks, make that noise when i hit a bump?

Bad shocks shouldn't make noise at all. Gotta be a something as far as joint points or something of the simular.

That clapping of metal could be a few things, for example a loose exhaust pipe, or heat sheild, or even a skid plate.

Bouncing of course = bad shock.

I'm looking at getting new shocks soon as well. Monroe are great shocks.. Any shock is good really. But if you're especially picky, gotta search the web for reviews.

I have yellow monroe shocks on my Bronco (a few years old) and they perform awesome on and offroad. Smooth ride and I think they were only like $50 a peice.

Oh yeah, and might as well get new coils up front. They are cheap enough and will give ya at least 10-15yrs of more service before being replaced. Reason be good to replace is you're already up an under there replacing the shocks lol

my exhaust is definately definately in really bad shape and sways around alot, but its not that kinda noise, it def sounds like a bad joint, but i just had all the ball joints up front replaced, what else could it be?

I dunno LOL

best thing to do, turn truck on, lay under it, and listen for a couple minutes. If nothing, turn it off and start hitting random items with a rubber hammer. That will vibrate and give you an idea of what's loose an what-not.

Hmm.. in those cases, I cram my girlfriend under the hood, or between the frame rails and listen for possible locations... :-"

Maybe a tailgate? or the spare tire connected to the tailgate? I know if I don't fully secure the spare to the tailgate, it'll rattle like something is wrong and is quite annoying. Took me three days to figure it out before I went shopping, and realized it was only half way secured <_<
