You may be able to find an exhaust ****** gasket in the right size.

That picture I got from autozone, it is for an old VW Beetle.

Maybe at a midas muffler shop, or a Napa auto parts store.

Maybe where you purchased the headers?

Call around, explain your needs.

Good luck

What brand of header did you buy ? A number of header mfg's offer ball & socket joints that can be clamped or welded to the collector and you then attach the Y-pipe to *that*. Outside of that I'd do what Joe mentioned and just take it to an exhaust shop. You probably need to extend or shorten the length of the header/collector combo until it mates up flush with the ball & socket and you can either do this yourself of have a shop do it for you.

I have those same style headers and don't have any problem with them. Is your exhaust hung up somewhere not allowing it to come all the way up? I would but a little jack under the exhaust where the O2 is and give it a little help. I did have a problem when I pulled my engine out (all times but got smareter after the first) and the exhaust like to "squeeze" on the engine. Maybe you could even unbolt the headers from the engine, hook them up to the rest of the exhaust and kind of "force" them back where they need to be. I ended up using a pry bar when I did my exhaust.
