hey all, i have a 1992 full size bronco with the 351 ci motor. im wanting to bore and stroke it, as well as, put a real aggressive cam in it. For one, i was wondering where i can find these parts at. And second, i was wondering if the computer system on the truck will adjust for these changes or would i be better off ripping it all out and putting a carb on it? Any suggestions on a carb if thats what is needed? Any and all suggestions will be well appreciated. Thanks

Don't make the mistake of throwing components together that are not made to work together.

First, what is the primary use for the truck after the mods? Off road/crawler, daily driver, mainly highway, work use?

You want to have an engine that is able to power you for the purpose you need the truck.

If you want to keep the computer controls you will be somewhat limited in the cam you can run. Check the cam manufacturers. Most will take a call and be able to tell you what will work, but you need to be able to tell them what you want to do as well.

Maybe some others here can suggest a package that worked for them.

If it's a idle loping, "whump whump" cam that you want and that is the bottom line desire, then you will most likely be looking at a complete rebuild, and will need to get the right intake, exhaust, carb combo to work together with the cam, as well as the right heads and some other modifications and considerations...IE: gear ratios, tire size etc. And we will not even begin to go into fuel milage!!!

Let's start by telling us how you want to use the truck.
