Soon I will be pulling my 302 to do a inspection on it. I will be putting all new gaskets on it. I'm inspecting it to see if it needs anything like that. I have a lot of knowledge rebuilding engines but I've never pulled one. All of the engines I've rebuilt engines that have already been pulled. I was just wondering if there were any helpful hints before I start. I will be pulling it in 1-2 weeks from now after I get my shop ready and my hoist and stand in.

Thanks

What I do on an unfamiliar eng. is note ea. step on an 8 1/2 x 11 tablet. (So as to reassemble in reverse order).

In addition, I mark wires & lines with tape/#'s so as to reinstall correctly.

As to chain-up & pull.., SAFTY is the key.  Vehicle steady, plenty of room above eng. bay, something under the

front of trannie so it doesn't fall when eng. is pulled forward.

Most Bronco books list the proceedure fairly well.
