I need to replace the motor on the passenger window and was wondering if anyone knows what the best way to do this or if thers was any tricks. I also was wondering if anyone knows of an estimate on having a tailgate window motor and wiring replaced.

Do em both yourself....much cheaper that way. You can buy replacement motors at a salvage, but I'd recommend against it. You never know how long those will last. Get a new one from http://www.LMCTruck.com or http://www.oehq.com. As far as how to on the passenger window:

Remove the inside door panel. You'll have to take the manual window control **** loose, or take the electric switch wire plugs loose. Take the speaker out. With window up, take a short piece of 2x4 or something to brace the window so it doesn't fall down when you take the motor out. Disconnect the wiring harness to the motor. There are three hex-head screws that hold the motor to the window regulator...take them off through the speaker hole. The gear on the motor is pressed into the teeth of the regulator arm...when you remove the motor, the window will fall down, hence the brace. Installation in reverse order. It's really no sweat, just look at the way things are assembled before you take it apart.

Rear window try: http://www.bejara.com/twmr.html or http://www.broncolinks.com/index.php?index=478

If you want to have a straight shot at the bolts that hold the motor on then here is what you do. If you look directly at the motor on the metal part of the door panel on the inside of the door, there will be little indentations, like those made with a nail punch, if you drill through these indentations with the correct size bit then you have a straight shot to the bolt on the window motor. Not any easier than going through the speaker hole unless you have giant hands like me and need to do the work as much outside as possible.

Okay, I just replaced the window motor on my 1995 XLT, and now the window will only roll down. It seems like it doesn't want to stop when it's down either. Bad switch? Bad wire? The interior lights dim and the motor clicks when I try and roll it up, but the window doesn't move.
