Should be able to get one for $200 easy enough . Look at the end of the axle before buying one though if its leaking it could mean big problems . The ford 8.8 and the 7.5 use the actual axle shaft as the inner race for the axle bearing . If its leaking could mean the axle shaft is worn . They do make an offset repair bearing for this but its the last chance with that axle shaft . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Oh yeah forgot you dont have to find a rear out of a 95 it can come from an 1987 to 1996 . I left out 1980 to 1986 although they will fit I dont believe they have the rear speed sensor for the antilocks :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Good question. Assuming you have an 8.8" it shouldn't be a killer but I'd suspect it'll be somewhere between $250-$400. I would definitely call around. Axle prices can vary *widely* from one region of the country to another for reasons I don't completely understand. I would think that up in NJ with all the rusted wrecks available that an 8.8" would come in on the low end but do yourself a favor and call every yard in your phone book because you'll probably find a very wide range of prices just between the local yards. If you're willing & able to pull it yourself you can always cut the price, sometimes by as much as half. Some yards offer $25/$50 "entrance fee" days where you pay a set entrance fee and can leave with anything you can unbolt & carry/drag past the gate. I've seen one guy walking out with a dozen or more PS pumps, alternators, etc all attached to ropes and draped around his neck and I saw another who as the very first thing he did was to take the hood off the nearest car, flipped it over and then loaded a transmission and a bunch of other parts onto it and then tied a rope to both hinges and dragged it out like a mule. As funny as these things were I mention them just as ideas. I also watched a guy bust his a$$ for 4+ hrs trying to drag a Dana70 out the gate because he refused to pay another $25 to let a friend help him, i dunno how he eventually made out or not but it wasn't looking good when *I* walked past him.

Just be sure to get a late model anti-lock axle, some of the early ones didn't and even though they'll fit you'll lose your rear anti-lock in the process. It also helps to be sure you get the same pinion ****** as what you currently have. Sometimes a yard will pull one from something like a Crown Vic and then you're stuck with something that needs a pinion ****** swap. These are little issues but ones to be aware of, just make sure you let the yard know what you have rather than just calling and asking for an 8.8'. What you really want is one from an F-truck or Bronco. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, just trying to cover all the bases.

The car axles are also 28 spline where the trucks and 31 spline , The car axles also have control arm brackets on them where the trucks only have a leaf spring perch . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
