HOWDY I JUST JOINED THE FORM AND HERES MY QUESION.... I HAVE A D7 4.10 LIMITED SLIP REAR AXEL IN MY 1988 FBII 4X4. I READ THAT THIS IS A RARE AXEL TO HAVE IN A FBII. IS THIS A GOOD AXEL OR IS IT JUNK. JUST WHAT IS A D7 4.10 LIMITED SLIP AXEL. THIS IS THE FIRST 4X4 I HAVE OWNED SO THIS IS ALL NEW TO ME.

All bronco 2 have a ford 7.5 rear end that code you have there must designate 4:10 gears . Some of the eddie baurer packages had that . The axle is good for its purpose but if you add big tires and a V8 it will not hold up at all . Look for an explorer rear end its a ford 8.8 31 spline just like whats in the full size trucks but its narrower . You will have to weld on new spring pads but it is a much better axle . Look for one 97 and up I believe because they had rear disk brakes . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
