Compressor oil refil

I removed the compressor ( there was no freon ). Lost some oil throught the hose connection. Can someone tell me *** to refil and what kind of oil to use? Mine is 87,2.9l,4WD,auto.

An 87 uses the old Freon which contains the oil with it. You can upgrade to R134A, but the system has to be purged first. I would take it to a shop, especially since it had already lost all it's freon which indicates leaks that need to be fixed.
