Hi all again, didn't want to cram too many questions into one post so here is my second.

I need to add a catalytic converter to my exhaust system. it now only has a universal muffler. The muffler takes up about 2/3s of the space between the header outlet and the rear axle. It seems to me that I have to find a short muffer and a short cat to fit in this space. Am I correct? Also, can there be a 1 or 2" connecting pipe between the muffler and cat to keep the 2 parts as short as possible?

The engine is a 300 inline 6 with a 4 barrel carb.

Thanks, Bill

I have a 3" piece between my cat and muffler, works just fine. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
