best 2v made in my opinion. Many use the progressive (weber 32/26) too.

Would cracks in the tubes (long thin, w/those holes in'em) do this. I see them in bad shape all the time~
Well Chris, I figure if they were made that way. They must have tested them and seen its best to be solid with a few holes. My guess. I save all them little parts and sometimes they come in handy. This ethanol gas is the worse thing you can put in a gas tank. Put some in a plastic pop bottle and set it on the shelf and check on it in a couple of weeks. Shake it. It looks like ***** of tar. Set it back and check it again in a couple of weeks. Their will be more to it. It ruint my new carbeurator. It was the begining of my troubles and I,ll NEVER use that crap in anything again.

got 'wash down'? Is there gas in the crankcase? These 2 conditions let U no which way it's going (not evap into the atmosphere) - ethanol...
If so then U have hada viscosity break dwn in ur oil. Rings get hurt 2X (once w/the 'wash down" nxt as runs due to thinned oil w/gas in it).

Come to think of it. That extra big filter could have stopped it--why I wasn,t getting any gas. I put 5 gallon of regular gas in it yesterday and have 5 more to put in it. It had 33 gallon in it and it came missing-maybe someone had a w.va credit card. If so--won,t they be taught a lesson.

Thought I,d go back iover the lights last night and made sure everyone worked. Front passenger side was not working. Neither was the signal light. Changed the oil and filter this morning and it was getting hot. Waited till it cooled downsome this evening. Found some wires pinched between the inner fender and radiator support. Instead of someone adding a couple of long wires th=o the lights. They added 4 small pieces. Tomorrow evening I,ll start on it again.AFTER IT COOL DOWN. I guess I am the only dummy working out in the heat . ahahahaha Since no one is talking about their.

Tuesday --this morning. I thought I would go and hook the bigger gas filte I have mounted on the inner fender. In case their was still some crap ethanol gas in the tank and not take a chance of messing up ANOTHER CARBEURATOR. Got it hooked up and it is starting to get hot hear again. Closed and locked the hood down--in case someone want to try something. Inside now and will wait till it cools down this evening. Then I,ll start on the signal and park light on the front and putting everything back together.

Ah, Okay. That helps a ton. Way easier to figure out than the 1100

well obviously you need to look at it in steps. Since you know you have a problem with fuel not staying in the bowl I would focus on that.

it can only be going out the Power valve on the bottom or the accelerator pump on the side.

You could replace those items on your bench, fill the bowl and see if it holds the fuel or where it leaks from. Obviously if the bowl only goes half empty it is the accelerator pump. If it goes completely empty then the power valve is leaking or you have a crack.

One step at a time. You got this. These are super simple carbs, but they are old. There can be housing cracks. Faulty replacement parts. Make you pull your hair out.
I don,t know if I told anyone who has helped me alot about the carb trouble I was having. Sorry I am late, but the carb was rebuilt again and so far it is NOT LEAKING. Aganin plese except my appology for being late getting back you you all and AGAIN--THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I APPRECIATE IT ALOT.
