I was searching broncograveyard for some parts for me truck (headlight lenses) and noticed the tailight lens information is slightly wrong-

I have an 89 XLT

This lens is what I have on my truck and is labled as an 87-88

This lens is 89-96

Now I'm not sure if they are interchangable or not.. but regardless it might be useful information for someone else out there! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

They will appreciate it if you point out the error to them. A lot of data is entered when creating catalogs and they probably got the pictures mixed up.

I remember when these trucks were brand new I always used to get the dealer brochures from when I was 12 in '84 up until'92 and remember the '89 brochure and they showed the new heater/ac controls,the blacked out background chrome grill,and new taillights,but when I went to look at the '89s they still used the 87-88 style lights.I know my 89 and many other 89s (even some 1990 models)use the 87-88 style lights.If you look at the later style lights(most, if not all) should have an 89 molded on them.I don't know if Ford intended on changing them in 89 but had a surplus of the older style lights and used them?It gets confusing.

Well if they are interchangable..I like 'my' style better..just lokos better and looks like the reverse light would be better as it spreads it out rather than focus it.

I wish they made "euro" headlight lenses for 87-91 trims. I hate my headlights..

That was the whole reason I wanted to do the front end conversion :wacko: They have em for the 92-96 trim but not the 87-91
