Getting ready to re-paint my Bronco.How do I get the body side mouldings off? Is there a trick to it or is there a special tool needed?

Some moldings just "pop" off.., some have bolt-on clips..... (3 types)
Go to www.tomsbroncoparts.com At their site, you'll see the diff. types of clips.
There's a good chance you'll need a few new ones as the plastic ones may break due to "brittle" condition.
