I have been dealing with the alignment of my 70 EB the past few days. Yesterday I replaced the old brake line with a longer stainless steel line and went front a stock ride string to a Deaver with a 3 inch lift to even out the front and rear. I replaced the "C" bushings about six months ago with 4 degree bushings to compensate for the lift. While I did the springs, I pulled the "C" bushings off to make sure I put them on the right way. Everything checked out.
When I installed the springs I noticed that they were pitched really far forward, to the point that they didn't line up with the upper spring bucket. After a lot of man handling I got them to go into the upper buckets, but they pitch forward on the bottom, then pitch back to the bucket almost like a banana. I thought the new bushing rolled the front axle back to the proper angel to prevent this. I have not road tested it yet, but with the front wheels now pitched that far out of camber, I am concerned I will get speed wobble now.
Has anyone else experienced this and is there a good solution? Since I had the whole front end apart, I didn
