I have just put in 92 mustang engine with an aod transmission in my 77 and i was wondering how you guys are getting the front driveshaft to work. My front diveshaft hits the transmission pan. Right now I have no lift. What are my options? Thanks

A lift might help but it sure sounds close. If you hit a bump hard enough you might come in contact even with a lift. You would prpbably have to go up at least 3.5"- 4.5" by the sounds of it. Can you take a photo of where its hitting and post it here? If its real close to the t-case end you might be changing your tranny. Good time for a NP435 eh?

Just thinking, do you have a CV on the front driveline? If so, with no lift its not needed and try a single u-joint for more clearance. If thats not the case how big in diameter is the driveline?

I heard of someone running a 2 inch front driveshaft off of late 80 to early 90 jeep cherokee. According to advance auto parts website the u-joints are the same size.

So im waiting to get my driveshaft back from the driveshaft shop today.
