I am trying to upgrade my alternator to 80 amps. The aftermarket alternator that I purchased is a single wire hook up. Do I splice in the stator wire, automatic choke wire, etc. into the battery terminal on the alternator, or do I have to rewire some stuff?

Thanks

Just tuck the stator wire away make sure its insulated . The one wire alternators are self exciting so they dont need power put to them to energize the field . I know on the carter/edelbrock/holey carbs I have I just run the choke to 12 volt source on with the key the choke heater mechanism has a sort of built in regulator . If you have a junk one you can take it apart and see how it works . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
