Just got my 94 Bronco back from getting a 3" body lift. It already has a 4" Skyjacker suspension lift. Anyway I am a little bummed about something. After they put the body lift kit on and front bumper adjustment brackets, they didn't do anything to my back bumper, the guy said that they do not make one for the back bumper. I now have a 6"x 67" gap under my tailgate. Does anyone know anybody that can make a plate or know someone that can cut one for sale? Maybe a diamond/star tread plate like they use for truck tool boxes.

Help, if you know of anybody.

The reason they don't make a bracket to lift the rear (Front and rear on 87-91) on F- Series trucks, is from the factory they were designed to take a certain amount of impact on the bumpers. You lift these with a plate or what ever the structural integrety is comprimised. Now for them to make a 100.00 lift kit and still be liable in case of an accident was not practical for them, so they leave that part up to you. Smart marketing I think. Some guys just flip the brackets from one side to another and get the lift they are happy with. I cut the brackets in half. The part that mount to the bumper I flipped over and welded. Lifted my bumper perfectly.

My body lift came with adjustment brackets for the front bumper and front bumper was raised to fit, but not the back bumper. I now have a gap between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the tailgate. There is a black piece of rubber that went across there, but now there is a gap between the top of this black piece to the bottom of tailgate. You can see the top of the gas tank. I need something to go over this whole gap and either take the black rubber out or go over top of it with this piece. Its 6" of gap and 67" across. The gap between the rubber piece is about 2".

What has everybody done on here about this that have 92-96 Broncos with a 3" body lift?

By flipping them I mean removing the bumper, Remove the brackets and put the left one on the right side and the right on the left side. To fill the gap, I know guys that just get lawn edging from a hardware store and cut it to fit. Works like a charm, can use it in the wheel wells also.

You can also leave the bumper in the stock location, and install a rollpan. A freind with a '96 did that to his, and it looks much better than the big gap you're talking about. I think Summit Racing had the rollpan for an F-150 truck that worked just fine. JSM84

That would look kind of cool, I would like to find a picture of one to see what it would look like.

Thanks guys. I never even thought about the yard border. I did find on Ebay somebody who sells diamond tread plate and can make custom cuts and offers in different thicknesses too. I was quoted for a 6"x67" at 1/8 thick $28.00 but now I am kind of leaning toward the yard border. I dont know if the tread plate would look good or if it will contrast with the chrome bumper. Black always looks good.

But anyway, Thanks to all!!!!
