In my 1986 Ford Bronco II I am trying to get the A/C working again and every time I put a new 30 AMP fuse in the fuse box it blows the fuse whenever I turn the truck on. I know there is a short somewhere I just dont quite know where to start. Anyone else have these issue or any advice on the next step to take? Thanks!

Get a good supply of fuses, and disconnect the wires at the compressor, then replace the fuse. If it doesn't blow then the compressor clutch electromagnet is shorted.

If the fuse blows, disconnect the low preasure cutoff switch. It's by the accumulator. If the fuse doesn't blow then the cutoff switch is shorted. If the fuse still blows you will have to trace the short. Look at where wires run through the firewall, or could be chaffed on any parts of the engine.

Good Luck
