As you have seen or haven't seen in my signature is my plan to do with my Bronco, as I am putting money aside and picking up pieces of the puzzle here and there I have run into a couple things that I am not sure about so here they are.

I was looking at DUI distributers and saw that some are vacum advance and others mechanical, one of my objectives with the motor was to do away with all of the vacum crap and get new intake and carb so my question is: is my stock distributer vacum advance and do I need to replace it with a mechanical advance?

I want to put a dana 60 in the rear of my truck and that will be 8 lug, can you convert a dana 44 axle to 8 lug? I was going to get a Dana 44hd but they have leaf spring suspension so I was wondering if i could just upgrade the front axle I already have.

Along with the previous question don't 8 lug rims fit on 5x5.5 axles?, so i could get a d60 for the rear and 8 lug rims and still have 5 lug front and be able to move tires around? If this is the case Ill just get beefier axle shafts in the front and keep it 5 lug.

I had other questions but I can't remember them at the moment, Ill add them when i do.

Any help would be great, thanks

I would get rid of the vaccum advance and run mechanical, like an MSD ignition system. Yes you can turn your current Dana 44 into an 8 lug set up.

Thanks man, I am either getting an MSD or DUI system but now I know I need mech advance, and I think I found the parts I need for the front axle on JBG.

what all do I have to change on the front axle? I was going to buy new rotors and hubs from JBG and use calipers off of a truck with a dana44HD, someone told me you need to change the spindel or something like that, I am not formiliar with what that is and if I should get it used or new. Thanks

Also another question:

I have been looking at several different brand headers for my truck and other than fender exists they all say will not fit truck with automatic floor trans. Does this mean it won't fit an auto trans with floor shift? or just no automatics? I don't recall any trucks with floor shift automatics so that is why I am confused.
