Hi all....

I've got a 95 ford bronco 5.8L 351 motor. It starts fine, idle's fine, and when I take off at a regular speed, it runs fine. It's when I really get on it, like getting onto the interstate, or giving it a little more punch that it sort of hesitates, and sounds as if it's backfireing....can someone let me know what Ive got on my hands here. It was running fine last week, but the lower radiator hose busted, got that fixed, and now it's running a little bad. A little help would be very appreciated!!!

Thanks

Bryan

I had the same problems a while back. I changed plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, and coil. ran fine and no more backfiring under load.

You might also want to check your vacuum lines for a leak and check for an exhaust leak. They won't cause backfiring, but you'll have serious power loss with both.
