93 5.0l spout code

battery died got it charged up the rough running and stalling. replace cap and rotor. then got coded for "spout" and tps and something else. took care of tps and what i thinks was the egr valve. what the heck is spout. mech said probably need new distributor. any ideas... you guys are always great

Post Codes here;

For now, Guessing that the Code is 212; if so;

Check to see if the spout connector is in place & tight

connector is a little "jumper" that fits into two wire connector; (it is removed to adjust timing).

Hesitation, Stumble, Stall, Miss, No Start, No Spark and/or Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 211 TSB 95-15-11 for 93-95 (Shorts in Profile Ignition Pickup (PIP) & Spark Output (SPOUT)

thanks but none of those show where this spout connector is a 93 5.0 ive already searched all morning

My spout on the 89' bronc is next to the distributor, comes off the same harness.

On my 96 5.0, which is probably the same, the spout is on the drivers side fender right by the firewall.

sorry guy i had the book but cant find it. this spout connector seems to have two red wires in one of the pics, but ive got no connector comming off the icm. all the wires go into the harness. i do have a connector off the the distributor. where do the spout wires go to maybe i can trace it back. and of course its raing this morning. i really hope this is it cause i hate doing distributors. the spout code is the last one to fix....

there is no spout connecter from icm, if u could tell me where its soupposed to go i could trace it back to the connector. right now it cranks but no spark at all

suggest you buy a Ford Bronco Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM), Powertrain Controls and Emission Diagnosis Manual (PCED), Service Manual CD .. ensure it will operate on your PC, tablet,etc.

Best you'll ever buy to maintain your Bronco!

Here is where my spout is located if it looks like the connector coming off your distributor, then that is the spout

got battery for both camera and truck charging. would my initial charge to the battery cause something to fail because i went to the post and did not groun to motor. im gonna take out o2 sensor and clean it, check continuity on coil.

this connector comes of the dizzy it has 5 contacts 3 on top two on bottom . middle on top touching the corresponding contacts has no continuity with the key on. could that be the reason my truck is not firing?? also i found what i thought to be a loose bolt right below that it was snapped off. goes in that hole in last pic
