I got this ride for almost nothing from a guy that couldn't change a tire (airforce GI) and was told by someone that it needed a new trans. It had a kick down problem fixed with a speedo gear out of my 69 parts truck. With that fixed I started testing it out and found that the rear window won't go up or down by the key or the dash button, and the only light in the rear that works is the running lights. in the front the headlights and running lights work fine, but no turns or hazards. check the fuses, the turn lights was blown, replaced it and the front right turn works, than evently (after driving for a while) will blow the fuse again. I have followed the wirres all the way up the frame to the engine bay making sure every clip is clean and tight, and that their was no breaks or bare wires. any ideas or if anyone knows what might be the problem, please post.

When you figure out the rear turn/brake light issue let me know: my RH blinker/brake won't work (the bulb is fine, as is the LH side). The rear window is the same problem I had on my 90 also. I found out it was caused by a faulty rear (keyed) switch. I fixed it by bypassing the rear switch. I opened up the tail gate from the inside and disconnected the wiring harness closest to the window motor. I used some long jumper wires to run the motor directly off the battery to get it down and open the gate. Once inside I ran 2 wires connected to the motor wiring with male spade connectors to the large 3 wire plug behind the LH brake light assy. One wire is hot (feeds the rear keyed switch) and the other 2 are from the dash switch which reverse polarity to the motor for up and down. Plug the 2 wires from the motor into the 2 from the dash switch with male spade connectors. Try the dash switch and see if you guessed right and reverse them if the direction doesn't match the direction of the switch. You can only open it by the interior dash switch, but hey that's better than nothing!!
