Hey, I just bought a '89 Bronco II 4x4 this afternoon. It has the 2.9L V6 and a 5 speed manual. Can anyone tell me which tranny it is? It won't shift into second and we're thinking its the synchros. I'm thinking it would just be worth it to just put in a new tranny. I'm wanting to do some off road upgrades later on. Nothing major just yet; I'm thinking a 4" lift, tires, rims, maybe exhaust? Just small stuff like that. What are some things I would need to know? Will the stock axles and drive shaft and differential and everything hold up to some minor off roading? I live in Kansas so it would be mainly mudding but I make occassional trips to Colorado. Any and all help is appreciated. If anyone knows of a site with all the stock specifications for the Bronco II I would appreciate it too. Thank you very much for your time
