Hello all,
Well my 1988 Bronco is almost finished.. the only serious problem we've had is after a brake job, the calipers locked up, causing our passenger side manual locking hub to melt shut. Replaced the calipers, flushed the brake fluid and all is well again.
Looking everywhere for a replacement hub, as this one has the infamous top hat hubs from '87-'88 Broncos and F-150s. Something I found is that a lot of places seem to have Bronco II '88 manual locking hubs, but they don't say they're compatible with the regular Full Size Bronco. The pictures look identical though to what is on my truck. Did Ford use any different gearing between the models, or would an '88 Bronco II Top Hat Hub fit an '88 Bronco?
Hopefully someone has an answer, as replacing those with the standard ones would cost around $700, which right now isn't gonna happen.
Thanks!
