Here's one, my 87 fullsize with the 302 efi and aod trans has decided that park is no longer a place it wants to run. I throw into neutral starts just fine, drop back into park dies, put her into gear and made the worst sound i've heard a vehicle make in my life. Didn't leave in gear long enough to be able to describe, but i'd say sounded like engine was about to blow (was probably the tranny making the sound, but like i said i didn't want to leave her there). My thinking is that is either just the linkage or something inside the trans went.
Since i bought her bout two years ago, while driving around town(30-45 mph) there would be a slight surging or pulsing to the truck, not the idle but the truck itself, not sure if related. i assumed was the trans doing it and i had plans to do a tranny swap so hadn't worried to much about it.
Any thoughts?
