Ok folks, my 83 rear window oem regulator kept popping out of the channel roller as the nylon is a little worn. For some reason my right side has a pressed ****** while my left has a lag bolt and nut.
For those of you who have the ****** and want a fast easy repair here is what you do.
Simply cut a small piece of 1/4" marine grade shrink tubing making sure its a little taller than the ******.
Place on ****** and apply heat to shrink in place.
Re-align regulator arm with channel roller and press back in place.
Viola!
Wracked my brain trying to find a way to fix this without removing the regulator arm and drilling out the oem ****** to replace with a dorman repair lag and nut style roller.
I sure hope this helps someone who has the same issue.
