4Wheel drive to 2 Wheel drive

I know some dont like this idea but i do. Is it possible to take the front end outof a 78 2 whell drive truck. And bolt it to a 78 bronco with not mods Please help. Wanting to drag race my 78

That pic is NOT a Bronco!

However You can swap in a two wheel drive axle, but the steering and gear box and radius arms are different.

As far as wheight, depends what you want it for, A daily driver that drags on weekends or full drag racer, no t-case, no solid front axle, no tailgate, no rear seat, no pass seat, no top, thats a lot of wheight dropped.

wouldn't it be easier to just remove the front driveshaft??

I've done that before..dunno why, but if no need for 4wd, no need to wear out the u-joints lol

I think there's another pic of a red Bronco in that thread. It looks like it still has the front axle. I've had lots of discussion over a few brewski's about the benefits of 4WD in a drag truck.
