ummm...ya how bout finding a doner 2wd trunk that the body is junk. otherwise i'd say just pull out the front drive shaft and tada instant 2X4

i shall hide now  /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

if u don't have a doner truck to go by then their will be a lot of tools flying across your driveway as u do this conversion. the front ends mount totaly differently so be prepaired to do alot of fab. cutting and welding to get things to fit!!

good luck

It's already been done, and is on the cover of Bronco Driver magazine issue #19 of 2006 http://www.broncodriver.com/index.html . Jerry will probably be driving it around at the Rod Run in Pigon Forge this weekend. Also, the front axle was replaced with a Mustang 2 rack setup.

Summit and Jegs, have a bunch of new parts you can use for this type of conversion.Sky is the limit. There are a bunch of ways to go,including,Hot rod front ends that are very easy to adapt.

Here's a question......why would you commit the cardinal sin of taking a away a 4x4 system? what benifit would that give you? just don't pull the joystick or push the button and you have a 2wd system so why the swap? easy way...pull off the front drive shaft and fab a plase to go over existing hole...you'll regret loosing the 4x4 though.

"UNIQUENESS" ....The man just wants something no one else has..! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Saw a guy put a Chrysler 440 in a Nash Metropolitan once... go figure..?

Hmmmm..., maybe I'll take the rear axle off mine & put on a chevy citation (trailer) rear axle. That way it'll be "front wheel drive" only... >:)

I think that it would be more stupid to lower a 4x4...so i'm going to swap. And trust me I've had the same talk with myself about the swap so whatever you say ive already said to myself. thanks for all the help so far...if you happen to find anything else let me know

thanks
