Yesterday I was in 4hi...hurray for lake effect snow. I was goin in reverse when I heard and felt a loud clunk underneath the truck. Then the 4hi light when off but I was still in 4hi. Now when I try to go to 2hi it wont. the shifter goes into that position but all 4 wheels are still a pullin. I can go into 4 low and back into 4hi but it wont go into 2hi.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Check your linkage underneath the truck, if thats good then its an internal transfer case problem. Have someone go through the gears while your underneath checking for proper movement.

Its in the minus up here with over a foot of snow, if its not doable then keep it in 4 wheel drive. When you drive on dry pavement I would suggest unlock your hubs
