just one thing to consider about the swap, you can get about 300HP out of the 302 with about the same in torque. not an animal, but more then plenty for any type of street (non racing) application.
add to this you already have the 302. consider a set of air flow research aluminum heads and youll be amazed of the performance. plus the fact that gas is $3. +/- per gal and the big block if your lucky will only net you around 8-10 mpg (ouch). and you should get 12-15 with a hot 302.
I know, it is nice to have the bragging rites of a big block, thats why I put a 390 in my model T pure testosterone nothing more. UGH UGH UGH!
