Hello,

Thinking very seriously of putting a 351W in my 87 BII. I'd like to get a modern injection system on an older block/heads from the 60-70 range, dure to the stronger blocks in th eolder engines. Anyone with experience in doing this? Thanks.

The 351w is the good one. I wouldn't use an older one though. Find a newer roller block.

I had a 351W in my 84 went like **** but good luck with the exhaust short of hacking the frame you wont find anything that fits very well except advance adapters slick fit headers but there nothing for performance , Something else your going to find is that the truck EFI intake manifold is too tall there will be clearance issues with this even with a 3 inch body lift . Car EFI intakes are hard to come by so good luck on that one too , And in my opinion theres nothing wrong with any of the 351W blocks have never seen or herd of any issues . I too would go with a newer one not for the roller setup but for the one piece rear main seal its allot better than the 2 piece ones . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I have a 351W out of an 85 lincoln, but it is carb and I want EFI. I know the engine will fit and I did some measuring with the street rod headers from Headman. It looks as if it will all fit without too much frame modification. However, I've not seen a 351 in a BII yet so I am without a visual referrence. I know the 351 was produced up to 97 and I might be able to get the top half from a crown vick, or just go with the newer model 351 all together. I don't plan out burnouts or grag racing anyway. As as I already have a 351 I though I'd use it. More to come....

i think i am just with a slect few that doesn't care about all that power. there are mods you can put on a 302 that can give you just as much if not more power than a 351W, i just haven't found them all yet. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

anyway, just my opinion....good luck
