302 engine build

friend gave me 302 short block was looking for best engine build for around $1000-$1500. I am from Canada so also looking for best place to buy performance parts on net. the engine was efi but I need to convert it to carb as my bronco has 351W carb in it now. This is my first engine rebuild so I appreciate all the help I can get!!!

I buy most of my performance parts from JEG's or Summit Racing. I would keep the bottom end stock, and run an RV or pulling cam with some improved-flow heads. Check out Edelbrock, they have matched packages for heads, cam ,intake, etc. You'll go through that $1500 budget really fast. JSM84
