1991 bronco over heating

sice my cat is right by the trany if my cat is pluged can it make the trany hot in witch makes my truck over heat y it is in gear please help new thermastat water pump and raideater has been flushed im out of ideas

Most definitely if it is plugged and glowing cherry red. The cat has a heat shield but it won't do much good if the cat is seriously over heating. An over heating transmission will cause the engine to over heat. There are a lot of possibilities, but if you already know the CAT is bad, start there.

Also, if you don't already have one, consider installing a transmission cooler. They make a whole lot of difference in keeping he engine from overheating in hot weather.

You might also want to flush the system using a good engine flush solution.
