1990 soft top

A question about the soft top for a 1990 full size bronco does the top attach to the whole roof not only the top you take off . If so how does it attach to the existing roof do you install snaps by the front windshield. Hope I am explaining this correctly thanks in advance

The top my son has. All the snaps are hidden under the original hard top.

once you take the hard top off the snaps are exposed and you bolt your soft top supports on. Snap the canvas down.
