Hey. I just got a 1984 Bronco. The entire inside is stripped, but came with just about everything to reinstall. I have no idea how to put it all back together. My small brain cannot create the puzzle. Does anybody have any diagrams or any guidance to help me out? \\

Thanks

Stephen

a haynes manual usually has a pretty decent breakdown of how stuff goes together, How far stripped is " stripped" is it the carpet and seats and seatbelts, or is it dash, doorpanels, interior trim as well as carpet and such?

I have looked at that one. Yes to the metal. Only thing is the wiring out. Everything but the wiring. I am mainly trying to figure out the dashboard with all the ducting, vents, gauges and the wiring to hook up to it all. Thanks

Cluster Parts & Gauge Similarities, Mounting, & Removal info & pics in 80-96; "...The PSOM, lens, blackout ring, terminal clips, shifter plates, bulbs & holders are interchangeable between cases. 87-96 gauges are only held in by their terminal clips, except the speedo. 80-91 speedos are held in by 2 screws; 92-97 PSOMs are held captive by the surrounding gauge faces. 80-86 use the same case for tach & non-tach, with a blank face for non-tach. 80-86 gauges are held in by stamped nuts on threaded studs. The fuel, oil, & temperature gauge bodies are identical & interchangeable by prying the needle off & removing the 2 screws holding the body to the face plate. To reinstall the needle, the gauge must be powered & have a known signal applied (usually the minimum) before stabbing the needle so it points to the proper reading. The screws are 5.5mm (7/32") hex with T15. Note that both cases have a molded socket for an anti-slosh module (low fuel light, which was never installed at the factory) and both film circuits have 4 traces for the socket..." Then the vacuum lines, HVAC cables, & antenna cable can be released, allowing the dash to come out..."

C6 is a tough trany, but it is a 3 speed. If you want a 4 speed you can go to a manual 4 or 5 speed, or an AOD tranny for a 4 speed auto. The Aod has a cable kick down vs a rod style kick down on the C6. See this from miesk5's index http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/idx/0/063/article/Complete_Overdrive_Conversion_for_7879_Ford_Bronco.html

Good luck,

:)>-

Is there a AOD from an F150 or something that would work maybe give me more efficiency (parasitic power) and help the motor work more efficiently. I have been trying to look to see about one from 302's but i dunno power wise. Thanks much for your input.
