Hello All. I'm new to EB's (a motorcyclist forced to find a new, safer hobby by my better half). While I've always admired them from afar I am just now beginning my search. Amazing what a few hours on the web will do to confirm that I don't know squat. Like some of the other postings I've read, I'm here b/c I'm looking for advice on how to go about my search. I'm looking for a daily driver first with off-road capability second. I love the look of the rough riders but let's face it, I live in Chicago and won't be on trails all that often -- except for the crazy potholes! Another novice directed me to a few "dealer" sites like Rocky Roads, Tom's Broncos, etc. Most of the trucks look great but based on some of the forums I've read they look way over priced. I just can't say though. I want to buy something that has had most of the major work done (i'm able to do a few things and am willing to learn) but want to be sure I'm getting a fair price. Put simply, I want to be informed about what i buy. Thanks in advance for all feedback.

Welcome to the Zone :)>- . Try your local Craigslist, and the paper. If you can post some pictures of what you are looking at, we will be willing to comment on the condition and price.

Good luck,

I don't know nor do I want to know how much I've spent in $$ and time on mine but for a full restoration, warranted truck and money not being a consideration, I'd pay in the 20s any time for mine.

If it needed work, that is another subject and the answer would be no. For me, I'd rather do some of it myself. It brings you a little closer to the girl ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Good luck,

Great, thanks. I agree, if I can do some work that would be perfect. Do you have any pics or specs on your truck??
